This large vintage Staffordshire style spaniel dog is a striking decorative ceramic piece, finished in a deep glossy black glaze with gold lustre detail to the collar, chain and facial features. Measuring 35 x 27 x 13 cm, it has generous scale and a strong presence, making it ideal for mantelpiece, console table, sideboard or bookcase styling.

The dog is modelled in the traditional seated spaniel form, with long curled ears, a proud upright pose and beautifully textured coat detail across the body. The black glaze gives the piece a dramatic look, while the gold lustre catches the light and adds warmth to the design.
