This vibrant set of six mid-20th century coloured glass beakers was produced by the Verrerie de Boussu, the historic glassworks in the Belgian town of the same name. Each beaker measures 9.5 x 6 cm, and the group includes a spectrum of colours: ruby red, amber yellow, emerald green, cobalt blue, violet and smoky brown. The green beaker still carries its original Boussu label, a rare survival that adds authenticity and collectable interest.

The Boussu glassworks was founded in 1847 and became one of Belgium’s leading producers of pressed and blown glassware.
