Antique Japanese Aoki Brothers platter in Imari palette

This large Japanese platter by Aoki Brothers is a showpiece, the kind of ceramic that makes a room feel instantly collected. At 31 cm diameter it is generous enough to use as a serving platter, but it is equally striking as a wall plate or propped on open shelving where the pattern can do its work.

The decoration is richly detailed and hand painted, with a confident Imari inspired palette of cobalt blue, warm iron red, and bright turquoise tones, finished with fine gilt accents that catch the light.
