Vintage Churchill speckled duck egg side plates, set of 8

This set of 8 Churchill side plates is a lovely way to bring soft colour and an easy modern feel to the table. The glaze is a gentle duck egg blue with fine speckling, finished with a warm ochre rim that gives each plate definition and makes the colour feel intentional rather than sugary. They have that relaxed, contemporary look that suits everyday meals, but they also photograph beautifully for weekend hosting.

Because the colour palette is restrained, these plates are incredibly easy to style. Pair them with crisp white linen, clear vintage glassware, and brass candlesticks for a clean, elevated table, or mix them with natural textures like wood boards and stoneware serving bowls. They also work brilliantly in a neutral kitchen where you want a subtle pop of colour that still feels calm and pulled together.

At this size they are ideal for breakfast, cake, toast, starters, and smaller lunches. They also make a really good layering piece with larger dinner plates, especially if you enjoy building a table setting that feels collected rather than perfectly matched. The speckled finish adds texture and depth, so even a simple meal looks a little more special.

Set of 8. Each plate measures 16.5 cm diameter. Glazed ceramic with speckled duck egg finish and warm rim detail. Vintage condition is very good overall with light surface wear consistent with gentle use.
