Antique Watercolour of a Thatched Cottage Village Street with Figures

An antique watercolour painting depicting a charming village street, where thatched cottages and mature trees frame a peaceful rural scene. Two figures can be seen in the foreground, adding a sense of life and scale to the composition. The artist’s delicate handling of colour and light captures the warmth of an English summer’s day.

Presented in its original gilt wooden frame with a wide mount, this piece retains the character and patina of age. The back carries an old gallery label from The Art Studio, adding provenance and a further layer of history.

Good antique condition overall, with some age related toning to the mount and minor surface wear to the frame, both consistent with its age and adding to its authentic charm.
