This sculptural vase from the 1960s features a beautiful blend of clear and warm amber glass, creating a flame like drop of colour suspended within the form. Standing 20.5 cm tall and 6 cm wide, it has a narrow elongated neck and a rounded base that emphasises the richness of the amber core. The effect is both minimal and dramatic, showcasing mid century glassmaking at its most elegant.

Hand blown and shaped with precision, the vase has gentle curves and a smooth surface that catches the light along its edges. The amber tone deepens toward the base and thins as it rises through the neck, giving the sense of movement within the glass. There are small air bubbles typical of mid century handmade glass, adding texture and authenticity to the piece.

This vase works beautifully on a mantelpiece, bookshelf or console table, styled alone as a simple sculptural object or grouped with other coloured glass pieces. It pairs especially well with natural materials such as wood, linen or marble, and looks striking next to brass or chrome. The shape also lends itself to holding a single stem, branch or dried flower, keeping the design clean and uncluttered.

In very good vintage condition with light surface wear, the glass remains clear and glossy. A classic example of 1960s decorative glass, it brings warmth, height and a sense of understated mid century design to the room.
